Benjamin Ngwerume
Born in Bindura in Zimbabwe in 1977, Benjamin started carving at the age of 21 and is now married with one child.
He was trained by the renowned artists Rutendo Dodzo and Sam Majoni.
For benjamin, there are no other artists who match up to the same expectations as Dodzo and Majoni. They are his inspiration and their work is a constant source of guidance to him.
Benjamin prefers working on fruitstone and springstone but has the talent of being able to adapt to any stone he chooses.
There are two members of his family who carve, Ndoro and Ngwerume.
He lives and works from Harare.
Benjamin's work has been exhibited in the U.K., Canada, and U.S.A.
